9.79 lakh open positions in central government agencies, according to MoS Jitendra Singh in the Lok Sabha
According to the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, as of July 1st, there are 9.79 lakh open positions in central government agencies. This number was given in response to a question in the Lok Sabha about the current number of vacancies in the central government. The Minister went on to say that out of these 9.79 lakh vacancies, 3.31 lakh are in Group C positions, 4.11 lakh are in Group D positions, and 2.37 lakh are in Group B and Group A positions.
