In a significant milestone for India’s tourism industry, the country has emerged as the leading source of tourists from Asia, surpassing China. Notably, India’s outbound travelers have shown a notable preference for the United States as their destination of choice.

Recent data released by international tourism organizations and travel agencies reveal a remarkable shift in travel trends, as Indian tourists increasingly explore destinations beyond their borders. India’s rising middle class, coupled with increased disposable income and a growing appetite for international travel experiences, has contributed to this notable achievement.

According to the latest figures, India’s outbound tourism market has witnessed a steady growth rate, resulting in a surge of Indian tourists venturing abroad. While China had long held the title of Asia’s largest source of tourists, India has now overtaken its neighbor, carving out a prominent position in the global tourism landscape.

The United States, in particular, has emerged as a preferred destination for Indian travelers. The allure of iconic landmarks, cultural experiences, world-class education, and business opportunities has attracted a significant number of Indian tourists to American cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago.

The rise in Indian tourists visiting the United States has not gone unnoticed by the travel industry. Many airlines and travel agencies have responded by expanding their services and offerings to cater to the growing demand. Direct flights, attractive travel packages, and tailored experiences are being developed to capture the attention of Indian travelers seeking to explore the diverse landscapes and attractions of the United States.

The increase in Indian tourists visiting the United States also presents a significant economic opportunity for the hospitality, retail, and tourism sectors in the country. Local businesses are adjusting their strategies to cater to the unique needs and preferences of Indian travelers, creating an environment that welcomes and accommodates their interests.

Tourism boards in both India and the United States are working collaboratively to enhance the travel experience for Indian visitors, promoting cultural exchanges and facilitating smoother travel processes. Efforts are being made to streamline visa procedures, provide multilingual assistance, and offer information tailored specifically to Indian tourists.

The growing dominance of India as Asia’s primary source of tourists underscores the potential for further growth in the tourism industry. It also highlights the need for continued investment in infrastructure, services, and marketing campaigns to ensure that Indian tourists have a positive experience and are encouraged to explore a diverse range of destinations worldwide.

As India’s outbound tourism market continues to flourish, industry stakeholders, governments, and travel operators are embracing this shift and actively engaging in efforts to promote sustainable and responsible tourism practices. This landmark achievement reinforces the importance of fostering strong international partnerships and nurturing cultural exchanges to create a more interconnected and inclusive global tourism landscape.

Arrested from Kejriwal CM’s residence is Bibhav Kumar, the accused in the assault case involving Swati Maliwal.

AAP MP Swati Maliwal had said that on Monday, when she had gone to the chief minister’s residence to meet Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar repeatedly kicked and slapped her and would not stop, despite her cries for assistance.

In the most recent development in the case of the assault on Swati Maliwal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home was the location of Bibhav Kumar’s detention on Saturday. The Delhi Police reportedly knew that Arvind Kejriwal’s PA was located at the chief minister’s home. In a little while, Kumar is anticipated to appear before the Tis Hazari Court.

On Saturday morning, Bibhav Kumar sent a letter to the Delhi Police indicating his willingness to assist with any inquiry. He stated, “Through media, I found out that a FIR has been lodged against me and Delhi Police should also take cognisance of my complaint.” Bibhav Kumar’s attorney, Karan Sharma, stated, “We haven’t heard anything from the police yet. We’ve informed them via email that we’ll assist with the inquiry.

Bibhav Kumar did not show up for NCW.

Bibhav Kumar previously missed his appointment with the National Commission for Women (NCW). The residents of the residence rejected the notice that an NCW team and Delhi Police attempted to deliver to him on Friday. Photos taken outside Kumar’s house, where they had just put up a new notice, were also marked by the NCW.

According to NCW chairwoman Rekha Sharma, a commission team had even visited Kumar’s house on Thursday to deliver a notice, but he was not there.

Bibhav Kumar says that “Swati Maliwal barged in and abused Delhi CM staff.”

Published

on

Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, filed an email complaint with the Delhi Police on Friday. In it, he refuted accusations of serious assault and attack made against him by Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claiming that she had the intention of hurting the chief minister.

In the complaint, Kumar stated that she was the one who “forcefully and unauthorisedly entered the CM’s residence, abused and assaulted him and threatened to implicate him in false cases,” in contrast to what the MP had claimed in the First Information Report. In addition, he said she had threatened to indict him and put him in jail by fabricating a case.

A copy of the complaint that HT has seen claims that Maliwal swore at Kumar for allegedly stopping her from going into the CM’s home’s main structure.

In his account of the purported events, Kumar also stated that Maliwal had broken into the CM’s home with force, made a disturbance, abused and beat him, and was now attempting to falsely accuse him.

Kumar complained to the station house officer of the Civil Lines police station, saying, “Not only did she breach the security of CM Residence, create a ruckus, and assault the complainant (Kumar); she is now trying to falsely implicate the undersigned complainant.”

It is required that you file the proper lawsuit against Ms. Maliwal. It is urged that her call logs, chat transcripts, and interactions with BJP leaders be looked at as well, since this might all have been done at the BJP’s behest during election season.

This is consistent with the Friday allegations made by the AAP. Senior minister Atishi refuted Maliwal’s claims at a news conference, claiming that her complaint was a part of a BJP plot. Atishi said that Kumar had made a follow-up police report.

A day after Maliwal filed a FIR, accusing Kumar of assaulting her on May 13 at Kejriwal’s house, Kumar filed his complaint.

According to a top Delhi Police official, Bibhav Kumar filed a complaint against Maliwal on Friday night. “We will investigate the complaint’s veracity before looking into the accusations made against the AAP MP. Following that, He requested anonymity and stated, “Necessary action will be taken in accordance with the law.”

Requests for comments from SHO Civil Lines and the deputy commissioner of police (north) were not answered.

According to Kumar’s lawsuit, Maliwal’s “false statements and malafide actions” are distorting the truth about what actually happened.

“Swati Maliwal arrived at the chief minister’s residence at around 8:40 a.m. and asked to be allowed inside.” When the security guard asked who she was, she replied that she was a Rajya Sabha MP and asked them to let her in as she had an appointment. She was asked to wait by the security guard while he confirmed the details of her appointment. The officer verified and told her that no such appointment was on file, thus she was not allowed to enter. She then forcibly entered the premises in spite of the protests, trespassing there unlawfully and aggressively in spite of their repeated complaints, according to Kumar.

Kumar said that following her “forceful entry,” the staff instructed Maliwal to wait in the drawing room.

“The waiting area isn’t located in the CM’s primary residence. When the personnel requested her to wait outside the main building, she became irrationally angry and abusive. “She instructed them to vacate the waiting area and inquire about her appointment with the Chief Minister,” Bibhav said.

She rushed out of the waiting room and into the main building at about 9:00 a.m. [Kumar was notified of this]… The complainant went up to Maliwal and gently asked her to adhere to the correct protocol. He said that Maliwal began yelling and screaming at the complainant and hurling insults.

Kumar added that he requested Maliwal to leave in a courteous manner without “reacting to the abuses.” But Maliwal persisted in ignoring the numerous demands and threatened to harm her if he did not allow her to meet the chief minister, according to Bibhav.

The complainant politely and repeatedly asked Ms. Maliwal to abstain from intimidating her and other employees and to not take the law into her own hands. Disregarding the previous pleas, Ms. Maliwal left the drawing room and made her way into the CM mansion. The complainant deduced that she had dubious intentions and that she wanted to hurt the Honourable CM. Thus, the complainant stood in front of her to stop her from attempting to forcefully enter the interior of the house and voiced her severe objection to it. Ms. Maliwal pushed the complainant out of anger over this. The complaint stated that she subsequently became enraged, sat down on the couch, called the PCR, and began making obviously false accusations against the complainant.

At 9.35 a.m., he claimed, Maliwal ultimately departed the property.

Kumar asked police to look into her call logs, chat logs, and connections with BJP leaders, claiming the accusations against him were made at their demand.

“I was dragged, slapped, and kicked,” Swati Maliwal claims in her FIR against Bibhav.

“Ms. Maliwal violently forced an unauthorised and unlawful entry into the CM Residence’s premises, breaching the property’s security, and intimidated the security personnel when they urged her to adhere to the appointment and entry protocol. Not only did Ms. Maliwal physically attack and insult the complainant when he requested her to leave the CM Residence, but she also threatened to incriminate him in bogus cases. As a result of Ms. Maliwal’s unlawful entrance, trespassing, breaching the CM residence’s security, obstructing government authorities from carrying out their duties, and assaulting the complainant, she is legally responsible for her actions, Kumar stated.

Atishi said earlier in the day that Maliwal is the “face of the BJP’s conspiracy” to discredit Kejriwal and the AAP.

“The BJP is afraid since Arvind Kejriwal left Tihar on bail. A plot was developed, and on May 13, Maliwal was dispatched to the chief minister’s residence to make unfounded accusations against Arvind Kejriwal. Maliwal was the public face of this plot; she showed up at Kejriwal’s house without warning or appointment. Then, according to Atishi, she made accusations against Bibhav Kumar.

Following the Maliwal incident, the Delhi BJP said that Atishi’s speech was only one of “confusion and disappointment.”

“Kejriwal’s silence on the subject as of yet makes it very evident that he is standing up for a thug. Atishi’s remarks, in this way, represent disillusionment and despair now that Kejriwal is encircled by suspicion due to Swati Maliwal’s issue,” stated Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.

After undergoing eye surgery in the UK, Raghav Chadha returns and arrives to Arvind Kejriwal’s house.

Published

on

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made his first public appearance in months on Saturday as he arrived at the chief minister’s official house in the nation’s capital. Chadha arrived at the CM’s house in a vehicle, as shown in a video released by the news agency ANI.

Chadha, a senior assistant to Kejriwal who oversaw key party departments, underwent emergency surgery on his eyes earlier this month in the UK, a vitrectomy. AAP MP Kejriwal’s detention was one of several setbacks that prompted doubts about his absence; nevertheless, the party had previously stated that once he recovered, the MP would participate in the party’s Lok Sabha election campaign.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, a minister in Delhi, stated in a statement on May 2 that Raghav Chadha had undergone a significant eye operation in the UK. His health was very grave, and blindness was a real possibility. He’ll return to India as soon as he’s well to help us with the election campaign.

Chadha was absent from the Kejriwal-led party throughout a number of losses, but he occasionally participated in and led the party’s assaults on political opponents on social media.

The “eyes of every citizen of the country are moist with happiness, their brother, their son Arvind Kejriwal is about to come out of jail,” Chadha wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on May 10, the day the Supreme Court granted Kejriwal interim bail until June 1 in the excise policy case.

“Kejriwal will be liberated this evening when the jail locks are broken. Sincere appreciation to the Supreme Court of the United States for defending democracy. “Long live Arvind Kejriwal, long live the revolution,” the AAP lawmaker said.
