A bloody selfie, a Ukrainian fighter pilot, and Volodymyr Zelensky’s admiration
On May 25th, Ukrainian fighter pilot Nadia Savchenko took a selfie with a bloody face and posted it to her social media account. The photo quickly went viral, with many people praising her for her bravery. However, some people were critical of the photo, saying that it was too graphic and that she should have kept her face covered.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, was one of the people who praised Savchenko for her selfie. In a post on his own social media account, he said that she was an inspiration to all Ukrainians and that he was proud of her.
