According to the Maharashtra BJP chief, if MLAs can reject Uddhav, then the state will lose projects.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the head of the Maharashtra BJP, attacked Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday for the state losing projects, fueling the ongoing verbal battle between the Eknath Shinde-led administration and the former chief minister. Bawankule reportedly told reporters during his tour of the Sangli district why industrial projects cannot leave the western state if MLAs from Thackeray’s own party can turn on him.
But the new administration led by Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis is held accountable for such decisions, according to Bawankule.
Former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya Bawankule has criticised the Shinde-led government for losing key projects to BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. He said his father did not visit state secretariat for 18 months and senior officials had to wait for appointment.
