After a pause for the winter, Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra will begin in Uttar Pradesh today. The yatra, which was launched by Congress President Rahul Gandhi in October last year, will cover a distance of over 3,000 kilometres across 24 districts in Uttar Pradesh. The aim of the yatra is to connect with the people of Uttar Pradesh and spread the message of Congress’ commitment to the development of the state. The yatra will culminate in a rally in Lucknow on February 27, 2019.

The yatra has covered more than 110 days and over 3,000 km of march. It will culminate in Jammu and Kashmir. The yatra started from Kanyakumari on September 7 and has covered parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Rahul Gandhi is taking part in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, which is to culminate in Srinagar on January 26. The yatra aims to mobilise the party cadre and unite the general public against the BJP’s “divisive politics”.
