Amit Shah on the Ram Temple event: Mamata Banerjee fears upsetting the “infiltrator” voting bank
Mamata Banerjee was allegedly “afraid” of her vote bank, according to Amit Shah, who claimed that she skipped the Pran Pratishtha event at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah blasted Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and the Congress party, saying they were more interested in vote-bank politics than in safeguarding the country’s security. Speaking at a rally in Durgapur, Bengal, Shah said that because of their vote-bank politics, the Congress and the TMC had kept mute throughout acts of terror committed when the UPA was in power.
The home minister also asserted that Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, was compelled to miss the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya’s consecration event because she was afraid of upsetting her “infiltrator” vote bank.
“Mamata Banerjee declined an invitation to visit the Ram Mandir Prana Pratishtha, even though her nephew was also invited. Know why they choose not to go? They fear their voter base, let me tell you. Mamata Didi is terrified of these individuals who have come here through infiltration; they are their (TMC) vote bank,” Shah said.
“Neither the security of the nation nor the safety of its citizens has concerned the opposition. These individuals (TMC) use infiltration to build their vote bank and run with cut money. “Mamata Didi, you ought to feel guilty because you support infiltration in the border state and provide your support to those who do so,” he said.
Shah charged that the TMC government was encouraging a corrupt culture in Durgapur and that the criminal activities in the industrial town had increased as a result of Mamata Banerjee’s leadership.
“Didi has been battling the BJP in Durgapur for the past fifteen days. She can stay here for five years, but she can’t win Durgapur, that’s my challenge. He asserted, “Didi has created a new criminal industry in the industrial town of Durgapur.”
Citing examples of cash seizures from ministers’ homes in states controlled by opposition parties, Amit Shah accused the INDIA alliance of systemic corruption.
“The INDI Alliance has embezzled 12 lakh crores.” 50 crores of rupees worth of cash were taken out of the homes of Didi’s ministers. 350 crores of rupees worth of cash were taken out of a Congress MP’s home in Jharkhand, according to Shah.
“A significant quantity of “unaccounted” money was found during searches at the home of a domestic help purportedly connected to the secretary of Jharkhand minister Alamgir Alam, he added, alluding to the ₹30 crores that were confiscated from the minister’s residence in Jharkhand only last night.
West Bengal, a state with 42 Members of Parliament, participates in all seven rounds of voting. In Bengal, the first two rounds of voting for six Lok Sabha seats took place on April 19 and 26.
