Amit Shah’s veiled jab at Pakistan: “Economic crackdown needed in terror havens.”

In a veiled jab at Pakistan, Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that an “economic crackdown” was needed in terror havens.

Shah was speaking at the second edition of the Raisina Dialogue, a global conference on geopolitics, in New Delhi.

“There are countries which are using terrorism as a state policy. We have to put pressure on such countries and isolate them. For this, we need to have an economic crackdown on them,” Shah said.

He added that the “international community must come together to isolate such countries”.

Shah’s remarks come days after the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the attack.

India has blamed Pakistan for the attack and has vowed to take “strong action” against those responsible.

Pakistan has denied any role in the attack and has condemned it.
