Apple is teaming up with Google and Mozilla to create Speedometer 3.0, a new benchmarking tool for web browsers. The goal of Speedometer 3.0 is to measure the responsiveness of web applications and to help developers optimize their code for better performance.

Apple has a long history of collaborating with other companies to improve the web browsing experience for everyone. In the past, Apple has worked with Microsoft on standards for HTML and CSS, and with Google on the WebKit rendering engine. This new collaboration with Google and Mozilla is just the latest example of Apple’s commitment to making the web a better place for everyone.

Speedometer 3.0 is still in development, but you can check out the code on GitHub. We can’t wait to see what developers can do with this new tool.
