Arriving in Russia, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will focus on trade, currencies, and energy during his visit.

India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is in Moscow for a two-day visit to Russia. He will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. Talks between the two leaders are expected to cover a range of bilateral issues.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, over the past ten years, effective interaction mechanisms have been established between the two nations, and bilateral relations between the two bear the characteristics of a special and privileged strategic partnership.

The Russian statement stated that the key areas of cooperation with India were the promotion of economic, financial, energy, military-technical, humanitarian, scientific, and technical cooperation as well as indications of a continued intensification of the political dialogue on a bilateral and international level.
