Barron Trump isn’t “off limits” anymore. What effect does it have on the criticisms?

Barron just turned eighteen, and the news that he will be representing Florida at the Republican National Convention has many on social media saying that he is now “fair game” for criticism and jeers. Due to this change of viewpoint, Barron has been the subject of a barrage of online criticism, with some arguing that he is no longer “off limits” to public criticism and the media.

After saying that Barron is “no longer off limits” in a post on X (previously Twitter), political analyst Allison Gill, host of the Mueller, She Wrote podcast, quickly received a barrage of comments from online users.

Trump made a joke earlier about his son’s height, saying, “He’s a good-looking guy, but he’s a little on the tall side, I will tell you.”

Barron seems to be largely unaffected by the extra attention in spite of this.

Unfazed by the criticism, the youngest Trump child is ready to make his mark in politics.

The former president once said that Barron “does like politics” and that it’s “kind of funny” on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. Occasionally, he will tell me, “Dad, this is what you have to do.”

Barron’s absence from the Republican National Convention as a delegate was revealed by Melania’s office late on Friday, citing “prior commitments.”

The statement from the former first lady’s office said, “While Barron is honoured to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments.”

Usually kept out of the spotlight by his parents, Barron came to the attention of the Florida GOP when they announced he would be a delegate. Barron’s surprise exit from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, occurs shortly before the school’s graduation.
