Before the government is formed, Omar Abdullah declares that the NDA is “Muslim mukth.”

On June 7, Omar Abdullah, a former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, took aim at the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance for having virtually no minority representation in the administration.

His answer was given immediately before the Center’s government was formed.

Omar said on X (previously Twitter): “It’s not just the BJP, the NDA is Muslim mukth, Christian mukth, Buddhist mukth, Sikh mukth and yet the government will claim to represent 140 crore Indians.”

In reaction to a story, Omar emphasized that the elected members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other NDA-affiliated parties were Hindus.

Beginning on April 19 and ending on June 1, there were seven phases to the Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats. In the 543-member Lok Sabha, the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured 240 seats, while its allies, which include the TDP (16), JDU (12), Shiv Sena (7), LJPRV (5), JD-S (2), JNP (2), RLD (2), ADAL (1), AGP (1), AJSUP (1), HAMS (1), NCP (1), SKM (1), and UPPL (1), have secured 53 seats.

The Indian Union Muslim League leader Mohammed Basheer defeated Abdul Salam, the BJP’s lone Muslim candidate, in the Malappuram constituency in Kerala by a margin of 30,0,118 votes.

On Friday, June 7, the newly elected members of the National Democratic Alliance, which is led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, convened in New Delhi to choose Narendra Modi as their leader. All party MPs were instructed to attend the NDA meeting by Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu.

In Andhra Pradesh, the TDP secured 16 MP seats by itself. However, the TDP, BJP, and Janasena together formed the NDA alliance, which secured the majority of 21 seats out of a possible 25.

On Sunday, June 9, there will likely be a swearing-in event wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take the oath of office for a third straight term.
