In Delhi’s Tis Hazari court on Monday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal lost it as the defence attorney argued during Bibhav Kumar’s bail hearing. Kumar was arrested for allegedly hitting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide.

The AAP MP entered Kejriwal’s home without permission, according to senior attorney N Hariharan, who is representing Kumar in court. Bibhav Kumar wasn’t inside the CM’s residence at that time.

Could someone please enter in this way?The chief minister resides here in official capacity. She didn’t send any notice about her impending presence, nor did she have an appointment for the encounter. At the time, Kumar wasn’t there. When the security guards stopped her, she went to the waiting area and begged them to speak with Kumar, according to the defence attorney.

He added to the court that the AAP MP had “no grievous injury.”

Please have a look at the location of the reported event, which was crowded with people. How could this (CM’s home) be the scene of such an incident? Where is the argument that culpable homicide does not qualify as murder if there is no significant harm to the essential component? He stated that the wounds may have been self-inflicted.

Maliwal’s claims “do not make out a case of intention to disrobe her,” the defence attorney claimed.

In the courtroom, the AAP MP sobbed after making this claim.

N. Hariharan continued by claiming that Maliwal’s accusations were all “pre-planned” and “tailored” to “fit her story.”

“Afterthought led to the creation of this entire FIR…He informed the judge, “I’m just asking for bail; I’m not asking for an acquittal.

After Maliwal accused Bibhav Kumar in a formal complaint of beating her on May 13 at Kejriwal’s house, Bibhav Kumar was taken into custody on May 18. Kumar repeatedly slapped her and kicked her in the stomach and pelvis, according to the FIR.

Sections 354, 506, 509, and 323 of the IPC, which address offences like assault or criminal force on a lady with intent to insult her modesty and criminal intimidation, are where the police filed a FIR against Kumar after receiving the complaint.

Later, Kejriwal’s assistant reported to the Delhi police that the AAP MP had mistreated him with the intention of assaulting him.

After Kumar filed a bail request at the Delhi court on Saturday, the court requested an answer from the Delhi police regarding the situation.
