Suananda Shetty, Shilpa Shetty's mother, was given bail in connection with the cheating case.
A court has granted Shilpa Shetty's mother Sunanda Shetty bail in collections with the case. Owner of Mervin Automotive had filed a case of cheating against actress' father Surendra Shetty. Following his death, family of deceased stopped repayment of Rs. 21 lakhs loan.
The judge granted her bail on a personal bond and surety of Rs 15,000 or temporary cash bail of Rs 25,000. A bailable warrant was issued by the court last month after her non-appearance in court. The loan was in fact a fraud, according to an investigation carried out by the Bank of India.
