Chinese FM left India for Pakistan to meet with Taliban FM

Qin’s visit to Shanghai coincided with the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting. UN Security Council allowed Muttaqi to travel to Pakistan to meet with Chinese and Pakistani officials. Pakistan’s UN mission requested an exemption for Muttaqi to travel to China for a meeting. Muttaqi faces UN sanctions. Pakistan will cover Muttaqi’s visit costs. China is actively engaging with Afghanistan, particularly in the resource-rich but isolated Taliban-led region.
Chinese minister attended foreign ministers’ meeting in Afghanistan.Qin chaired the second informal meeting on Afghanistan. New Delhi was absent from all mechanisms. Mao explained Qin’s visit agenda. China seeks to collaborate with Afghanistan and Pakistan to promote peace, stability, development and prosperity in the region. Mao stated that Afghanistan is in need of global support due to its difficult past.
International community should support Afghanistan’s reconstruction and development. Interim government should be encouraged to build an inclusive, moderate and effective government. Mao believes that China and Pakistan will have a close and frequent interaction. Qin to meet Sharif after phone call with Li Qiang. Qin and Pakistani foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will co-chair the 4th round of China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue.Dialogue held in Chengdu, China. Mao agreed to have full communication on bilateral relations. China and Pakistan are enduring allies.Mao’s visit to China aims to strengthen communication and cooperation between China and Pakistan.
