Animal rights activists in the snake venom case against YouTuber Elvish Yadav have filed a petition for police protection after Yadav allegedly threatened them with life threats.

Saurabh and Gaurav Gupta, residents of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, filed a plea claiming they received threats and were pressured to withdraw their complaint.

The case of Yadav being charged with using snake venom as a drug in rave parties was recorded and an FIR was filed against him in November last year.

Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi has issued a notice to the Haryana government, announcing April 18 as the next date for the hearing.

YouTuber Yadav, who recently fought fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur, was arrested in a snake venom case on March 17. He was booked under the Wildlife Protection Act, NDPC Act, and IPC sections.

Police recovered nine snakes and suspected snake venom from six accused at a rave party in Noida’s sector 51, including the Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 winner.

A veterinary department report revealed that all nine snakes’ venom glands and eight snakes’ fangs were missing.
