The Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) is the political party of the elected members of the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Indian parliament) and the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Indian parliament). The CPP is led by Sonia Gandhi, the current president of the Indian National Congress (INC). The CPP has 55 members in the Lok Sabha and 27 members in the Rajya Sabha.
Sonia Gandhi chaired a meeting of all party MPs in Parliament to discuss the strategy for the remainder of the Winter Session. The Congress will stage a protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Parliament complex to demand a discussion on the India-China border tensions.
