The Congress has protested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “roadshow” in Ahmedabad on the eve of the Gujarat assembly elections, calling it a “blatant violation” of the model code of conduct.

The party has also written to the Election Commission of India (ECI), asking why it has not taken action against the prime minister.

In its complaint, the Congress has said that the roadshow was a “blatant violation” of the model code of conduct as it was held just a day before the second phase of voting in the state.

The party has also questioned the ECI’s silence on the matter, asking why it has not taken any action against the prime minister.

The Congress has demanded that the ECI take action against the prime minister and his party for flouting the model code of conduct.
