Derek O’Brien claims that the BJP is taking its vendetta to a new level.

In a recent blog post, Derek O’Brien, national spokesperson of the Trinamool Congress, claims that the Bharatiya Janata Party is taking its vendetta against the Opposition to a new level. He alleges that the BJP is using central agencies to target Opposition leaders, and cites the example of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has been the target of several central investigations.

O’Brien alleges that the BJP is using these agencies to try and destabilize state governments ruled by Opposition parties. He claims that the BJP’s ultimate goal is to “destroy” the Opposition and create a one-party state.

O’Brien’s claims are serious allegations, and if true, point to a worrying trend of the BJP using state power to target its political opponents. If the BJP is indeed using central agencies to target the Opposition, it is a grave abuse of power that must be condemned.
