In 1998, Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was approached by an advertising company to endorse a product. However, the company wanted him to endorse the product in a way that he felt was “disrespectful.”

Tendulkar decided to decline the offer and return home, saying, “I don’t think I would have been able to return home after that.”

This decision earned him a lot of respect from his fans and showed his commitment to his values.

Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He holds the record for most runs in Tests and ODIs, and has scored 100 international centuries. One of his greatest outings came in Sharjah in 1998, when he smashed 143 off 131 deliveries against Australia.
