Even if Kohli beats Sachin’s century record, India still needs to win the ICC championship, says the former PAK captain.
The ICC championship is the most important trophy in cricket and no matter how many records Virat Kohli breaks, India will not be truly successful until they win the ICC trophy. This is according to former Pakistan captain, Imran Khan.
Kohli is currently the leading run scorer in Test cricket and is on the verge of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most centuries in a career. However, Khan believes that India’s focus should be on winning the ICC trophy instead of individual records.
Khan said that “records are meant to be broken” but the ICC trophy is the ultimate prize in cricket. He believes that India have the potential to win the ICC trophy but they need to focus on their team performance instead of individuals records.
