This week, the buildings are painted blue to symbolise the continued support for improving the safety and wellbeing of children.

According to UNICEF, last year, about 230 buildings nationwide showed their support for “World Children’s Day.” Several famous buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Prime Minister’s office, the Parliament building, Qutub Minar, Kolkata’s Howrah Bridge, and Hyderabad’s Charminar, were illuminated in blue to show support for children’s rights.
