Following a Staten Island Ferry engine fire, over 900 passengers were evacuated.
A Staten Island Ferry engine fire on Tuesday morning prompted the evacuation of over 900 passengers. No injuries were reported.
The ferry was carrying passengers from Staten Island to Manhattan when the fire started around 9:30 a.m. Passengers were evacuated from the ferry and onto a nearby pier.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
