Pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant began in March, even though their wedding isn’t until July. The couple recently threw their second pre-wedding party, a four-day Mediterranean trip. Europe was reportedly chosen by the newlyweds because it would be handy for a large number of their guests. Why go on a cruise, anyway? They struggled to find a location that could hold their 1200 person guest list, so they ultimately chose this location.

In an interview with Vogue during the pre-wedding cruise, Radhika Merchant said, “It was a retreat for the people that have contributed to our life in different ways.” Their families, friends, and coworkers from Encore Healthcare and Reliance Industries were present, she continued. There were also visitors from Anant Ambani’s Vantara for the festivities.

The publication claims that lunch was served to the guests when they arrived in Palermo, Sicily, to kick off the cruise. The Ambanis threw a starry-night-themed party at night, complete with a Backstreet Boys performance. A toga party was thrown on the second day, which was themed around Anant and Radhika’s college days.

The ship docked at Cannes on the third day, according to the Vogue article. Here, the group went to Château de la Croix des Gardes for a masquerade ball. Two concerts, one by Pitbull and the other by Kate Perry, took place after the event.

The festivities took place in Portofino on the last day, with the main square being converted into an outdoor market. The ceremony was followed by a performance by the renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

In her chat with the outlet, Radhika Merchant also discussed her thoughts on her impending nuptials. “I can’t wait to get married,” she exclaimed.
