“From Samantha to Deepika Padukone”: Ramya of Congress claims the Behsaram Rang controversy is anti-woman.

Ramya of Congress has claimed that the controversy surrounding the film Behsaram Rang is anti-woman. She has said that the film’s depiction of women is offensive and that it is an insult to the women of India.

Hindutva leaders questioned the use of saffron in Deepika Padukone’s bikini in ‘Besharam Rang’ Ramya said this is another example of misogyny. “Women are the embodiment of Maa Durga — misogyny is an evil we must fight”.

Hindu right-wing groups have threatened to burn effigies of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. A complaint petition has been filed in a Bihar court seeking an FIR against the duo. In Madhya Pradesh, some Hindu right wing outfits tried to protest in Jabalpur where Dunki was being shot.
