Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini, has been criticized for producing historically inaccurate images, with CEO Sundar Pichai calling it unacceptable. Co-founder Sergey Brin also acknowledged the bot’s mishaps, calling it “definitely messed up.”

Google’s CEO Larry Page has admitted to a flaw in image generation, stating that the issue was primarily due to inadequate testing, which caused significant upset among users. This statement was made at the AGI House in California.

Google temporarily suspended Gemini’s image creation ability following the Gemini image incident, which involved inappropriate responses and failure to condemn pedophilia.

Google’s CEO, Larry Brin, has expressed uncertainty about the chatbot’s perceived bias, stating that the company has not fully comprehended why it leans left in many cases. He stated that if tested over the past week, the chatbot should be 80pc better.

Sergey Brin, a former Google board member alongside Larry Page, has recently re-engaged and has come out of retirement due to the exciting trajectory of AI, according to reports.

MeitY has issued an advisory on March 1 urging platforms using generative AI models to seek explicit government permission before launch. The advisory also emphasizes that companies should avoid hosting, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing, transmitting, storing, updating, or sharing unlawful content, with non-compliance resulting in penal consequences.
