High-level meeting to assess national Covid-19 readiness is presided over by PM Modi.
A high-level meeting was held today to assess the nation’s readiness in the fight against Covid-19. The meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was attended by top officials from various ministries.
The meeting started with a review of the steps taken so far to contain the spread of the virus. It was noted that considerable progress has been made in this regard, but more needs to be done.
The Prime Minister then gave a detailed presentation on the measures being taken by the government to ensure the safety of citizens. He stressed on the need for continued vigilance and urged all citizens to cooperate in the fight against the virus.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the way forward. It was decided that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure the safety of citizens and to contain the spread of the virus.
