IndiGo flight from Chennai to Mumbai receives a bomb threat and makes an emergency landing

Due to a bomb threat, an IndiGo flight 6E 5314 from Chennai to Mumbai had to make an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport on Saturday.

“A bomb threat was received by IndiGo flight 6E 5314, which was traveling from Chennai to Mumbai. The airline issued a statement saying that the crew adhered to protocol upon landing in Mumbai and that the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay in accordance with security agency requirements.

“Everybody has safely exited the aircraft.” The airplane is being inspected right now. The aircraft will be positioned back in the terminal area once all security procedures have been completed, according to the IndiGo statement.

A bomb threat was received in midair on Friday by a Vistara flight carrying 177 people from Delhi to Srinagar. All of the passengers and crew were evacuated after the aircraft made a safe landing in Srinagar.

The bomb threat call was found to be “non-credible” during a security assessment, according to the airport officials in Srinagar, after regular operations had once again restored. A ‘threatening call’ had been reported to Srinagar’s air traffic control.

Following a bomb threat, passengers on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi had to be evacuated at the Delhi airport on May 28.

At the Delhi airport, IndiGo aircraft 6E2211, which was traveling from Delhi to Varanasi, received a specific bomb threat. The aircraft was transported to a distant bay in accordance with airport security agency requirements, once all relevant steps were completed. The emergency exits allowed for the safe evacuation of every passenger, according to a statement released by IndiGo.

All four cabin staff members on that flight, however, were suspended by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for breaking the rules during the evacuation when they exited the aircraft using the emergency slides while carrying their baggage.

A pilot was seen leaving the plane using the emergency slide while carrying luggage in a social media video clip of the evacuation. International regulations prohibit passengers and crew members from removing their belongings during an evacuation since doing so would lengthen the evacuation time.

Having completed the ‘Surya Arghya’ before daybreak at the Vivekananda Rock, where Swami Vivekananda had meditated before achieving enlightenment, PM Modi began his second day of meditation in Tamil Nadu.

The prime minister performed ‘Surya Arghya,’ a spiritual rite that involves saluting the sun, who is thought to be the embodiment of the Almighty.

The PM prayed with his japa mala prayer beads and offered a small amount of water into the sea (Arghya), a traditional beaker-like receptacle. According to officials, he presented flowers to a statue of Swami Vivekananda and wore a saffron outfit.

The prime minister then took a stroll around the mandapam while holding his “japa mala.” PM Modi will leave for Delhi on Saturday night when his two days of meditation come to an end, following the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections.
