If a Delhi woman was sexually assaulted, NCW wants to look into it.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has said that it will look into the sexual assault of a Delhi woman, if it receives a complaint from her.
The NCW’s statement comes after a Delhi woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a man who posed as a cab driver.
The woman, who is in her 20s, said she had taken a cab from Delhi’s Connaught Place to Gurgaon on Saturday night.
She alleged that the driver sexually assaulted her during the journey.
The woman said she managed to escape from the car and raised an alarm.
The NCW has urged the Delhi Police to take action in the case and has also asked the woman to lodge a formal complaint with the Commission.
