The Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the cost of CNG in Delhi-NCR by 95 paise per kilogramme, effective immediately. This is the second time in less than a month that CNG prices have been hiked in the national capital region.

The IGL said in a statement that the new prices have been necessitated due to the increase in the cost of procurement of CNG. The company said it will continue to monitor the situation and pass on the benefits of any reduction in costs to consumers.

The price of CNG in Delhi-NCR is now Rs 52.90 per kg. This is likely to cause a rise in the prices of auto-rickshaws and taxis, which use CNG as fuel.
