Elon Musk’s recent tweet, curated on April Fools’ Day, reveals deep-seated sour relations with the media company and its associates.

Lucasfilm terminated its contract with Star Wars alum Gina Carano in 2021 after she shared a heated post on social media expressing her right-wing opinions. Carano claimed that the government made Jews hated by their neighbors for being Jews, which is similar to hating someone for their political views. This was not the first remark of her kind.

In February 2024, she sued Lucasfilm and Disney for firing her from The Mandalorian, with Elon Musk financially supporting her case.

He alleged Disney’s diversity guidelines for content were enforced by DEI Gestapo, conflating them with Nazi Germany’s secret police.

Disney boycotted Elon Musk’s microblogging platform towards 2023, halting posts and responding to his controversial claims.

In December, Musk criticized Disney for having a content problem, stating that their entire upcoming slate is unwatchable and they are the world’s biggest example of go woke, go broke.
