In Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu , YSRCP and TDP workers fight, and Section 144 is implemented.

As the Andhra Pradesh state elections heat up, so do tempers. In the Palnadu region, workers for the YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) and TDP (Telugu Desam Party) have been engaged in physical altercations. Section 144 (prohibiting the assembly of more than four people in an area) has been implemented in an attempt to quell the violence.

Police said people with criminal backgrounds participated in the programme and threw stones at police. The SP assured that serious action would be taken against those involved.
