In Madhya Pradesh, the illegal guesthouse of a suspended BJP official was demolished. The official, who was suspended from the party last year, had been running the guesthouse without the necessary permissions. The guesthouse was demolished after an inspection by the district administration.

Mishri Chand Gupta has been accused of killing Jagdish Yadav by running his SUV over him on December 22. Gupta is a suspended member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sagar city, Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, a special squad from Indore used 60 dynamite blasts to destroy the Jairam Palace hotel. The hotel can be seen disintegrating into dust and thick smoke forming in a video posted by the news organisation ANI.

Deepak Arya, the Sagar District Collector, claims that barricades were erected around the crossroads throughout the demolition process to halt traffic for the sake of safety. “The residents of the nearby buildings were also informed.
