YouTuber Elvish Yadav was granted bail in a snake venom case by Gautam Budh Nagar court after providing two sureties of ₹50,000 each.
YouTuber Elvish Yadav was granted bail by the Gautam Budh Nagar district court five days after being arrested in a snake venom case.
The bail application was heard by an additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) court in Surajpur, Greater Noida, according to officials.
The court granted bail to Yadav, who will need to submit two ₹50,000 bail bonds, according to Advocate Prashant Rathi, who represented Yadav in the court.
Last year, 26-year-old Yadav and five others were arrested under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly supplying snake venom to party revellers for recreational use.
The five individuals arrested on November 3 were released on bail on November 22, 2023.
Yadav, a resident of Wazirabad village in Gurugram, was arrested by Noida Police on March 17 and placed in 14-day judicial custody by the local magistrate court.
Police added charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and sections 284 and 289 of the IPC to the existing FIR after a forensic report of 20ml liquid suspected to be snake venom.
On March 20, the Noida Police arrested Ishwar and Vinay Yadav in connection with the case.
Pradeep Kumar, an additional district government counsel, opposed bail in court during a hearing on Friday.
A welfare officer from People for Animals filed a FIR alleging Elvish used to take photos and videos with snakes in Delhi-NCR farmhouses.
The PFA members contacted Elvish via phone to request the arrangement of snakes and venom for a rave party in Noida.
Elvish contacted Rahul, who agreed to supply snakes and venom. He and four others, Titunath, Jaikaran, Narayan, and Ravinath, visited a Noida farmhouse with the snakes and venom. The police arrested the five people.
The prosecution claimed that police recovered 20ml snake venom, nine live snakes, and a rat snake from their possession, citing sufficient evidence for Elvish’s involvement in the case.
Rathi and Deepak Bhati, Elvish’s lawyers, argued that he was framed in this case.
The police did not find any substances under the NDPS Act from the client, and the complaint can only be filed by a government official, not an NGO worker, as the other five accused are already on bail. Elvish’s bail was also solidified during the hearing.
Jaihind Kumar Singh, the additional chief judicial magistrate, stated that the accused has valid grounds for bail consideration without commenting on the case’s merits and demerits.
The accused has been granted bail on two sureties of ₹50,000, with the promise to cooperate in the investigation and not violate the bail bonds.
The court granted bail to Yadav’s two associates who were arrested on Wednesday.
District Jail superintendent Arun Pratap Singh reports Yadav’s release order from court, but he will be presented for another case at Gurugram court on Saturday.
Yadav will be released from District Jail in Greater Noida on Saturday, but a production warrant from the Gurugram Metropolitan court is also awaiting his release.

Maruti Suzuki Q3 2025: Revenue rises 15.67%, net profit up 16.21%
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country’s leading automobile manufacturer, announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024-2025, ending December 31, 2024. The company reported a 12.6% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit, reaching ₹3,525 crore, up from ₹3,130 crore in the same quarter the previous year.
Revenue for the quarter rose by 15.6% to ₹38,492.1 crore, compared to ₹33,308.7 crore in Q3 FY24. This growth was primarily driven by robust sales in the utility vehicles segment, which includes high-margin SUVs. The utility vehicle segment experienced a 20.2% increase in sales during the quarter.
Despite the positive growth in revenue and profit, the company’s performance fell slightly short of market expectations. Analysts had projected a net profit of ₹3,662 crore, but the actual figure was ₹3,525 crore. This shortfall is attributed to higher sales promotion expenses and increased costs related to clearing inventory, which amounted to ₹680 crore.
The small car segment, encompassing popular models like the WagonR and Swift, faced a 3.7% decline in sales. This downturn reflects a broader market trend favoring SUVs over smaller vehicles. In the third quarter, small cars accounted for approximately 30% of Maruti’s sales, while utility vehicles comprised about 67%.
In response to rising costs, Maruti Suzuki has announced plans to increase car prices across its range. This move aims to mitigate the impact of higher expenses and maintain profitability.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki’s Q3 FY25 results highlight the company’s resilience in a competitive market, with significant growth in revenue and net profit driven by strong performance in the utility vehicle segment. However, challenges such as increased promotional expenses and shifting consumer preferences towards SUVs have impacted the company’s traditional small car segment.
