In this automotive ad, Sunidhi Chauhan uses her fiery voice to recreate Nazia Hassan’s Boom Boom.
Sunidhi Chauhan reinvents Nazia Hassan’s Boom Boom with her fiery voice in this car commercial. Watch
Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice is a tour de force in a recent automobile advertisement, in which she gives her own spin to Nazia Hassan’s vintage track Boom Boom.
If there’s one contemporary singer who could honour late legendary vocalist Nazia Hassan by recreating her disco songs, it’s Sunidhi Chauhan. In a recent car commercial, Sunidhi reinvents Nazia’s iconic 1982 track Boom Boom in her signature firery style. Boom Boom in new car commercial
In a new commercial, one can hear Sunidhi’s distant echo and a familiar tune at the start. It’s when the female actor gets hold of the steering and hits the accelerator that Sunidhi’s rendition of Boom Boom becomes amply clear. While Nazia had a classic restraint in the original song from her album, Sunidhi make the track her own with her power-packed vocals. At the end of the commercial, we even spot actor Rahul Khanna, smiling at the female actor from a distance during a shoot.
There’s another commercial that features Rahul for the most part, in which a male singer renders a recreated English version of Boom Boom. There’s an English version sung by Sunidhi as well, but it pales in comparison to her rendition of the Hindi one.
The internet was bowled over by her recreation. An Instagram user commented, “Sunidhi voice (fire emojis).” Another wrote, “Amazing choice of 90 hot pop song for the new Breed of Indian EV’s whose gonna dominate the Globe for sure. (red heart and fire emojis).” “Where to get this song in her voice,” read a third comment, while a fourth one stated on similar lines, “They need to release this version of the song.”
Not Sunidhi’s first recreation of Nazia song
Boom Boom isn’t the first Nazia Hassan song that Sunidhi has recreated. She briefly sang the late Pakistani singer’s 1981 hit Disco Deewane, which Nazia sang with her brother Zohaib Hassan. Disco Deewane was recreated by Vishal-Shekhar for a crucial dance sequence in Karan Johar’s 2012 campus caper Student of the Year. While Nazia’s voice was retained for the chorus, Sunidhi stepped in to sing the ‘Disco Deewane’ hook line for Kajol’s cameo in the track.

Armaan Malik and Aashna Shroff are married! The couple tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony and shared the pictures on Instagram. “Tu hi mera Ghar (You are my home) the newlyweds captioned the photos.
What did Armaan and Aashna wear for their wedding?
Ditching the traditional red hue is a trend that many modern brides have embraced. While Aashna also hopped on the trend, she gave it her own personal twist. The fashion and beauty influencer wore a dreamy orange lehenga beautified with pastel pink and emerald accents. She also wore a pink veil that matched the colour of Armaan Malik’s sherwani. Let’s decode their ensembles.
Aashna’s orange lehenga features a cropped blouse, a lehenga skirt, and a dupatta, which she draped around her petite frame and finally placed on her shoulder. The lehenga set comes adorned in delicate gold Zardozi embroidery, sequin work, and gota patti kadhai. While the choli has a wide square neckline, a sleeveless silhouette, and a midriff-baring hem length, the skirt has a flared ghera.
Aashna completed her wedding ensemble with a pastel pink crinkled silk veil draped on her head. It comes decked in Zardosi work on the border. For jewels, she chose an emerald and diamonds-adorned choker necklace, a matching mang tika, kadhas, and rings. She also wore pink bangles and gold Kaleeras adorned with Sun charms. With her hair tied in a bun, she chose darkened brows, mauve lips, mascara-adorned lashes, muted smokey eyes, and glowing blushed skin for glam.
Meanwhile, the groom complemented his bride in a pastel pink sherwani. He wore a bandhgala sherwani jacket featuring gold Zardozi work, full-length sleeves, and front button closures. He styled it with pants, a matching kurta, a silk turban adorned with a brooch, and a chiffon dupatta embroidered with a broad border.

According to AP Dhillon, shows that sell out in 15 seconds are a marketing ploy. “Artists are treating their own fans unfairly.”
Amid his feud with Diljit Dosanjh, AP Dhillon threw shade at the Punjabi singer’s ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour, shows of which sold out within seconds.
AP Dhillon’s feud with Diljit Dosanjh has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs on social media. Now, on The Ranveer Show, AP addressed the controversy around concerts in India selling out within seconds, including those of Diljit’s ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour. (Also Read – No toilets, parking woes to warring fans: India sees music tourism boom but are we really ready for it?)
What AP Dhillon said
“India mein abhi crisis aa jayega agar isi hisab se chalta raha (There’ll come a crisis in India if things go on like this). Artists are being unfair with their own fans ki 15 seconds mein sell out ho gaye shows. Kuchh bhi sell out nahi hua hai (that shows sold out within 15 seconds. Nothing is sold out). It’s all a way of marketing. Promoters ko ticket de dete hain. Their fans, ab unko wait karna padta hai, aur higher price mein ticket khareedna padta hai (They sell tickets to promoters. The fans have to wait and buy tickets at higher prices),” said AP Dhillon.
“At some point, humein bhi yehi laga (we also thought), should we play this game? But I’m like no, we can’t go to bed knowing that jinhone show dekhne aana tha, humne unke sath aise kiya (those who wanted to attend the show, we did this to them). You name it, koi bhi show ho raha hai jo sold out hai, mujhe batao, 2,000 tickets chahiye, kal hi dilwa dunga. Aaj hi dilwa dunga. Log music ko abhi game ki tarah khel rahe hain. So usi mein mazza jo hai kharab ho gaya (Any show which is sold out, ask me if you need 2,000 tickets, I’ll get them for you tomorrow, or even today. People are playing music like a game. That’s sucked the joy out of it),” added the singer.
He said people will soon realise what’s happening. Calling it a “dirty game,” AP argued that artists aren’t bigger than fans, and the fans at least deserve to buy tickets at reasonable prices. While AP didn’t name any particular artist because this tactic is working for them, he claimed that artists at a higher stature shouldn’t indulge in these practices because it wouldn’t help them much.
AP’s feud with Diljit Dosanjh
Diljit Dosanjh’s ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour in India reportedly sold out within seconds. At a concert, Diljit argued that he has nothing to do with that and that he’s been working on his music for years so he’s earned this fan frenzy. The Dil-Luminati Tour, which kicked off in Gurgaon in October, will conclude in Guwahati this Sunday on December 29.
During his recent concert in Chandigarh, AP Dhillon addressed the crowd, referencing Diljit’s shoutout to him. In a viral video on social media, he alleged that Diljit had blocked him on Instagram. This remark quickly gained traction online, with fans and media speculating about a potential rift between the two artists.
In a move to clear the air, Diljit took to Instagram shortly after the concert. Sharing a screenshot of AP Dhillon’s account, Diljit wrote, “I never blocked you. Mere pange sarkaaran naal ho sakde aa, kalaakaran naal nahi (My issues could be with governments, not with artists).” Following Diljit’s Instagram Story, Dhillon posted another video on his own Instagram, showing the status of Diljit’s account both before and after the block. He captioned the video: “I wasn’t going to say anything, knowing I’d get backlash anyway, but at least now we know what’s real and what’s not.”
