In response to the US’s threat of a nuclear attack, Vladimir Putin said, “We’re contemplating how we would respond. I can tell you that we would respond in kind.”

Vladimir Putin says Russia is considering adopting Washington’s concept of a pre-emptive strike. The Russian president was answering a reporter’s question on use of nuclear weapons. Moscow might need to think about adopting US “ideas for ensuring their own security”, he said.
