For rallies against the hijab, Iran condemns 400 people to up to 10 years in prison.

In recent years, there have been a number of rallies and protests against the hijab, or headscarf, in Iran. The hijab is compulsory for women in Iran, and those who violate the law can be punished with up to 10 years in prison.

Now, the Iranian government has announced that it will be cracking down on these protests, and has sentenced 400 people to up to 10 years in prison for their participation in them.

This is a huge blow to the women’s rights movement in Iran, and is likely to further suppress any dissent against the compulsory hijab. It’s a sad day for women’s rights in the country, and we can only hope that the situation improves soon.
