AAP government introduces “Delhi Robotics League” for pupils in government schools
The AAP government has introduced a “Delhi Robotics League” for pupils in government schools. This is a great initiative that will help to foster a love for science and technology in young people. It is also a great way to get pupils interested in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The league will be open to all pupils in government schools, and will be run by the Department of Education.
The programme was launched at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence in the presence of the Director-Education, Himanshu Gupta. It is a unique, first of its kind tournament to be organised at the school-level across the country.
Students of Class 9 and Class 10 will get a chance to showcase and enhance their skills in robotics. Winning team will receive a cash award, as well as opportunities to receive seed capital and mentorship. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said countries that can adapt and relearn reach the top of the developmental ladder.
