‘Main message karta hu. I don’t want people to forget him’: Afridi describes his conversation with Pakistan’s top pacer.

I don’t want people to forget him. These were the words of former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi, when asked about his conversation with the country’s top pacer Wahab Riaz.

Afridi, who is currently in England commentating on the ongoing World Cup, said that he had spoken to Wahab a few days ago and the pacer had told him that he was feeling low.

“I told him [Wahab] that you have achieved a lot in your career and you should be proud of it. He is a great bowler and has done a lot for Pakistan,” Afridi was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.

The 41-year-old also said that he had advised Wahab to take some time off from cricket and spend time with his family.

“I told him to go home and spend some time with his wife and children. He has been away from home for a long time and I think that is one of the reasons why he is feeling low,” Afridi said.

The former Pakistan skipper also said that he was not surprised to see Wahab struggling in the World Cup.

“I am not surprised that he is struggling
