India captain Rohit Sharma was taken to the hospital for scans after suffering a fielding injury in the second ODI against Bangladesh.

The extent of the injury is not yet known, but it is a worrying development for India ahead of the third ODI on Sunday.

Sharma was fielding at short midwicket when he attempted to stop a boundary from Bangladesh batsman Soumya Sarkar.

He appeared to jar his right shoulder in the process and was in obvious pain as he walked off the field.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
