Infringing on trademarks, Delhi High Court prevents the release of the Tamil film “Ajinomoto.”

The Delhi High Court has put a stop to the release of the Tamil film “Ajinomoto,” which was set to hit theaters on Friday. The court’s decision came after the Japanese company Ajinomoto Co. filed a petition alleging that the film’s title and logo infringed on its trademark.

Ajinomoto is a well-known brand in Japan and India, and the company argued that the film’s title and logo would create confusion among consumers. The court agreed, and issued an injunction against the film’s release.

This is not the first time that a film’s release has been halted due to trademark concerns. In 2017, the release of the Bollywood film “Golmaal Again” was delayed after the makers of the popular board game Ludo filed a complaint alleging that the film’s title and logo were too similar to their own.

The Delhi High Court’s decision is a victory for Ajinomoto, but it remains to be seen whether the film will be able to find a way to change its title and logo in order to satisfy the court’s concerns.
