The Indian IT Ministry has decided to give the public more time to provide feedback on the proposed Digital Data Bill. The deadline for comments has been moved from December 15 to January 2.

The Bill, which was released for public feedback in November, seeks to regulate the handling of digital data in India. It covers a wide range of issues, including data protection, data sharing, and data governance.

The Ministry had received a number of representations from industry and civil society groups seeking more time to provide input on the Bill. In response, the Ministry has decided to extend the deadline for comments.

The Bill has generated a lot of interest and debate, and the Ministry is keen to get feedback from all stakeholders. The extended deadline will give interested parties more time to provide their views on the Bill.
