On Wednesday, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar delivered a strong message to Pakistan during a United Nations Security Council meeting. Jaishankar criticised Pakistan for “hosting Bin Laden and targeting Parliament”. He also said that Pakistan’s “track record” on terrorism is “well known”. These comments come after a recent string of terrorist attacks in India, including the one on the Indian Parliament in 2001.

Pakistan has long been accused of harbouring terrorist groups and individuals, including Osama bin Laden. The country has also been accused of carrying out terrorist attacks on its neighbour, India. In recent years, there have been a number of high-profile terrorist attacks in India, including the one on the Indian Parliament in 2001.

Jaishankar’s comments at the UNSC meeting are a strong indication that India will not tolerate Pakistan’s support for terrorism any longer. The Indian government is likely to put pressure on Pakistan to crack down on terrorist groups operating within its borders.
