Jharkhand police are attempting to “rescue” the defendants in the toll plaza bribery case: HC
The Jharkhand High Court has directed the state police to “rescue” the defendants in the toll plaza bribery case and produce them before the court. The HC was hearing a PIL filed by social activist Durga Oraon, who had alleged that the defendants were being “harassed” by the police. The PIL had also alleged that the police were not taking any action against the defendants despite having received complaints from the public. The HC has now directed the DGP to submit a report on the status of the case.
