What Kaamya Karthikeyan has accomplished

On April 3, Kaamya Karthikeyan set out to climb Mount Everest with her father in tow. The father-daughter team received best wishes for their expedition from the Indian Navy and the Western Naval Command.

According to kids chaupal, Kaamya started trekking at the age of three, inspired by her father’s mountaineering activities. Her journey through the Himalayas began in 2015 when she was seven years old and hiked to Chandrashila Peak.

She then advanced to harder hikes in 2016, including those to Har-ki Dun, Kedarkantha Peak, and Roopkund Lake. At thirteen years old, Kaamya reached the Everest Base Camp in May 2017, making her the second-youngest girl in history to reach this feat.

She crossed the Sar Pass and triumphed over Brighu Lake in Himachal Pradesh in 2019. Kaamya’s remarkable achievements were further enhanced when she became the youngest girl to summit Mt. Aconcagua, despite facing numerous administrative and physical challenges.
