Large-scale demonstration against Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka by the opposition in Bangladesh
The opposition in Bangladesh is staging a large-scale demonstration against Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka today. The demonstrators are calling for Hasina to step down as Prime Minister, and they are accusing her of corruption and human rights abuses. There is a heavy police presence at the demonstration, and there have been some reports of violence.
“Sheikh Hasina is a vote thief,” the protestors chant as tensions remain high after security forces stormed opposition party offices.
Two of the opposition leaders were arrested on Friday over charges of inciting violence.
