As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise in many states across the country, officials are once again advocating for people to get booster immunizations and to reinstate the mask requirement. Booster immunizations are recommended for people who have already been vaccinated against the virus, as they can help to increase the body’s immunity to the virus. The mask requirement is being reinstated in many states in an effort to help control the spread of the virus.
States across India have decided to make it mandatory for people to wear masks in public places, step up genome sequencing and nudge people who are yet to take their third dose of Covid-19 to come forward. Chief ministers and health ministers of several states reviewed preparations and protocols for the new drug on Thursday.
