Microsoft CEO Nadella talks with PM Modi and praises the government’s aim for “Digital India”

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday, and praised the government’s aim for “Digital India.” Nadella said that Microsoft is committed to working with the government to help make this happen. He also discussed the potential for technology to transform India, and how Microsoft is working to make this happen.

Satya Nadella, chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft Corp, called on prime minister Narendra Modi. Discussed issues relating to sustainable and inclusive economic growth being driven by digitalisation, he said in a meeting with India’s top business magnate Mukesh Agrawal.

“Gratitude to Narendra Modi for a thoughtful discussion. We are excited to support the government in realising the vision of “Digital India” and serving as a beacon for the rest of the globe. It is encouraging to see the government’s intense focus on sustainable and inclusive economic growth driven by digital transformation.”
