Morning summary: WHO requests detailed, real-time Covid data from China, plus the most recent information
The WHO has asked Chinese officials for more genetic sequencing data and data on disease impact, including hospitalisations, intensive care unit (ICU) admissions and deaths. A team of World Health Organization (WHO) met Chinese officials on Friday to discuss the Covid-19 outbreak in China.
The officials were also asked to share data on vaccination, especially in vulnerable people and those over 60.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern over the lack of comprehensive information from China on the human exposure to carbon monoxide poisoning in China. “It is understandable that countries around the world are acting in ways that they believe may protect their populations,” the WHO chief said.
