On June 3, 2024, Aksa Air flight QP 1719, which was carrying 186 passengers, 1 child, and 6 crew members, arrived in Mumbai from Delhi. During the flight, there was a security alert. Following established safety and security protocols, the aircraft was rerouted to Ahmedabad. At 10:13 a.m., the captain made a safe landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport by following all necessary emergency protocols. Every passenger has disembarked. According to the spokeswoman, “Akasa Air is adhering to and supporting all safety and security protocols on ground,” as reported by news agency ANI.

The Akasa Air incident occurs one day after a bomb threat was received by a Paris-bound Vistara flight carrying 306 people, prompting the declaration of a major emergency at the city airport before its coming. The Sunday morning landing time was 10:19.

“Flight UK 024 from Paris’ Charles de Gualle airport to Mumbai received a hand written note on an airsickness bag threatening a bomb,” Vistara claimed on Sunday. An unidentified source alerted news agency PTI of this development.

The source said that after this, a full emergency was declared at 10:08 am, and the plane landed at 10:19 am.

“A security concern has been noted by our staff while onboard the airline’s flight UK 024 operating from Paris to Mumbai on June 2, 2024,” Vistara acknowledged in a statement.

According to policy, the airline notified the appropriate authorities right away, according to a Vistara representative.

Additionally, it stated that the airline is completely assisting the authorities and that the aircraft has touched down at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
