Nasal vaccinations are set to become available in private hospitals in the near future. This is a great news for those who are looking for an alternative to injections, as the nasal spray is a much less invasive option. The spray is also said to be more effective than the traditional flu shot, so this is definitely something to keep an eye out for!

People in India will need to pay for a booster dose of the polio vaccine, an official said. The dose will be administered twice, 28 days apart, even when used as a booster.

India’s technical expert committee on immunization has recommended the vaccine be used as precaution dose for adults. Sars-CoV-2 vaccines target the mucous membrane in the nasal pathway. The vaccine elicits a protective coat of what is known as IgA antibodies over the membrane.
